President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Bashir Ahmad as his Special Assistant to the President on Digital Communications.
Naija News reports that Bashir Ahmad was formerly President Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, confirmed the latest appointment of Ahmad in a letter of appointment dated July 20, 2022.
SGF Mustapha said the appointment took effect from July 19, 2022.
Recall that Bashir Ahmad had resigned from his former position after Buhari directed all political office holders wishing to contest elective office to resign.
He, however, failed to to secure the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party’s primaries for Gaya, Ajingi, Albasu Federal Constituency.
According to Ahmad, the APC primary fraudulent.
Terrorists Deceived Buhari Government – Garba Shehu
President Buhari’s spokesman, Garba Shehu has explained how terrorists tricked the government into meeting their demands for the release of the abducted train passengers but later refused to release them.
Mr Shehu, told BBC Hausa that the government granted the leader of the bandits his request for the release of his pregnant wife, “but they came up with other requests”.
He stated that the terrorist leader demanded the release of his pregnant wife. The government took her to the hospital and she gave birth to twins. He was shown that his wife and children are healthy and they were handed over to his parents.
