NeNe Leakes’ boyfriend Nyonisela Sioh has officially filed to divorce his wife after she sued The Real Housewives of Atlanta OG for alleged infidelity. NeNe and Nyoni have been going strong since making their public debut at her birthday party in December 2021. NeNe faced criticism for debuting a new romance so soon after the death of her husband Gregg Leakes. In June, the criticism against the relationship mounted after Nyoni’s wife sued NeNe for dating the Nigerian businessman while he was still married.
Now, five months after the lawsuit, Nyoni has officially filed to divorce his wife Malomine Tehmeh-Sioh, TMZ reports. Nyoni married Malomine in 2016, and the pair welcomed a child together. Nyoni listed the date of separation as September 19, 2021. Nyoni claimed the relationship was over starting from that date, and the pair was no more. Nyoni also claimed he hadn’t lived with his wife or acted like a married couple since the date of separation. He is seeking a dissolution of the marriage and equitable distribution of their assets as soon as possible. Nyoni also alleged there was no overlap between his marriage and dating NeNe.

NeNe and Nyoni went public last December. The pair posed for photos together looking very much like a happy couple. NeNe ignored the criticism she received and revealed the blessing Gregg gave her ahead of his passing to date other people. Nyoni is the first person NeNe has dated publicly in the wake of Gregg’s passing. NeNe denied being a homewrecker after Malomine filed the lawsuit. The upset ex-wife accused NeNe of causing her stress because of the alleged affair.
In her filing, Malomine claimed to have suffered emotional distress, mental anguish, and a loss of affection due to NeNe dating Nyoni while he was still legally married. She is suing the OG housewife for over $100,000. However, with Nyoni filing for divorce, Malomine’s lawsuit could be thrown out. Nyoni’s divorce filing lists the date of separation as being prior to when he went public with NeNe. One could argue that he was already living as a single man when he and NeNe made their debut.
There has been a lot of drama and misfortune tied to the former reality TV star’s name in the wake of her exit from RHOA. She lost her longtime husband, opened her own lounge, filed a discrimination lawsuit against Bravo, and even dealt with a health scare with her youngest son. Fans would love to have NeNe back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta to give them an inside look into her life. But after accusing Bravo of racism, NeNe will likely never work with the network again. At least her relationship with Nyoni is still intact. He’ll need NeNe’s support as he goes through the divorce proceedings.
