Warning: This post contains SPOILERS for Jujutsu Kaisen #215While the worlds of anime and comics are loaded with dynamic hero duos, a partnership between Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Kenjaku and Sukuna would create the most dynamically deviant villain duo ever in the history of manga.
Jujutsu Kaisen #215 revealed what series fans have been wondering for years, namely whether Kenjaku – Jujutsu Kaisen’s evilest sorcerer ever to live, can partner with Sukuna – the king of curses. Considering the breadth and depth of their sociopathic personalities, more than a few fans believed that the survivability of any Kenjaku – Sukuna relationship would be short-lived. However, as the chapter makes clear, not only are the two familiar with one another but also seem to have overcome any differences that might exist. This does not bode well for the Jujutsu Kaisen world, because any attempt to quash the collaborative efforts between these two sorcerers without the assistance of Satoru Gojo, Yuki Tsukomo, and Master Tengen, would be extremely unlikely.
Kenjaku & Sukuna Are Unstoppable in Jujutsu Kaisen
The individual abilities of Kenjaku and Sukuna are already incredible. However, a combination of their skill sets suggests that they are unbeatable in regard to who is currently available to oppose them including Yuji, Maki, Todo, Choso, Panda, and Kinji Hakari. Kenjaku may not be Jujutsu Kaisen’s most gifted sorcerer, but his hundreds of years of experience, coupled with the techniques he’s absorbed including Idle Transformation, Maximum Uzumaki, and Reverse Cursed Technique make him a formidable opponent. Anyone doubting his abilities simply needs to understand that Kenjaku simultaneously fought a Special Grade Sorcerer, a Special Grade Curse, and Master Tengen – and still won the match.
Sukuna is perhaps even more skilled than Kenjaku in the arts of sorcery. Sukuna is the sorcerer who was so dominant back in the first age of the sorcerers that it took the combined efforts of the entire jujutsu community of sorcerers to finally put an end to his oppressive reign. But even after suppressing his bad behavior, his physical body had to be separated and scattered across the world in all directions for fear that if it was left whole he’d easily be able to resurrect himself. In addition to his massive innate and accessible abilities, Sukuna is now in possession of Megumi Fushiguro. Megumi is not only one of the most gifted emerging sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen, but with the Ten Shadows technique, he also has one of the most “OP” skills in the manga. Sukuna’s ability to access the Ten Shadows gives him tremendous ability.
These are hard times for the Jujutsu Kaisen community. Dealing with a world of aggressive Curses without Gojo or even Yuki was hard enough, but having to overcome the threat that a Kenjaku – Sukuna combo creates is for all intents and purposes impossible. Outside their individual abilities, they also have the ability to protect one another’s vulnerabilities, which makes the ultimate dynamic duo. Kenjaku and Sukuna’s only question now is whether they can stay friends long enough to take over Jujutsu Kaisen’s world.
