This mod, created by alexbull_uk does something simple but has a good quality-of-life improvement. This mod simply fixes the spaceship targeting reticule and makes the ship HUD run at a good FPS. There is also an option to expand this and make the upgrade to the FPS for every UI element, but there are other mods that will upscale the gameplay at large. 8 Cleanfield – A No-Intro Videos and Clean Menu Fix
Cleanfield will not improve the gameplay itself very much, but it will make it much easier to get into the game as it clears the introductory elements of loading into the game. Made by creator Gamertism, this mod will take away the various warnings, Bethesda logos, and will optionally clear the messages of the day and the Starfield logo as well. This is for anyone who wants a crisp, quick, clean aesthetic for loading into their game every day.
7 BetterHUD – Immersive and Dynamic – User Configurable
BetterHUD was created by KhaoMaat and was developed to improve the in-game HUD and make it a bit easier to see all the beautiful environments in the game. This mod is customizable with more plans to continue customization options in the future, but without customizing it, BetterHUD will remove extraneous information, make the crosshair smaller and less distracting, and move the necessary elements for gameplay further down the screen and out of the way.
Seb263 created Undelayed Menus, which essentially removes all the extra fading, loading, and holding players had to do to reach various menus and locations in Starfield. This makes it a bit easier to navigate and significantly reduces the time that players will have to wait for things to happen. While this is not as sweeping of a change as the BetterHUD, it does save players time, and waiting for various elements to come onscreen is not the way players want to spend hours of time in Starfield.
5 Starfield Upscaler – Replacing FSR2 With DLSS or XESS
Created by PureDark and uploaded the day the game was released on GamePass, this mod has been a popular choice among gamers from the beginning. This will have a significant performance optimization and allow players to see an improvement in the game’s graphics. For anyone who was disappointed with the news that Starfield would be running on the FSR2, the Upscaler is a must.
4 Baka Achievement Enabler (SFSE)
The Baka Achievement Enabler by shad0wshayd3 is the highest ranking of a couple such mods that make it possible to still get the satisfying achievement pop even after enabling console commands to use PC Cheat Codes. This allows players to make their character able to carry as much as they want without having to worry about it disabling an achievement forever.
