Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed Sofyan Amrabat will not make his Premier League debut against Brighton on Saturday.
The midfielder signed for the Red Devils on the last day of the summer transfer window on an initial loan deal from Fiorentina.
But the 27-year-old withdrew from the Morrocco squad ahead of AFCON qualifiers against Liberia and Burkina Faso due to injury.
Ten Hag told MUTV: “Amrabat, he came back unfortunately with the injury. So he will not be available for tomorrow [Saturday]. But I think, on short notice [soon], yes. And I’m sure we will all get joy from them.”
Ten Hag’s men will be looking to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal before the international break.
